return to Home page

Spring is almost upon us and like most of us we are looking forward the nice weather. Spring also means its time for our annual Spring Canoe Trips through the wetlands lead by members of the Board of Directors and the Barrie Canoe Club. This year we have two opportunities to see the wetland awaken.

Trip one is scheduled for April 2rd, 2011 with an 8:30 AM start at the Willow Creek access point on George Johnston Road
(County Road 28) Minesing. See the Wetlands close up with stops to see the Heronry, one of the nesting areas for Blue Herons in the wetland and other points of interest on these trips through the wetlands. Please contact Adam Scott at 705-424-1479 ext.259 or email to mailto:ascott@nvca.on.ca for more information and to register for this outing.

Trip two is scheduled for April 9th, 2011 at 8:30 am start at the Willow Creek access point on George Johnston Road Minesing. Please contact Adam Scott at 705-424-1479 ext.259 or email to mailto:ascott@nvca.on.ca for more information and to register for this outing.

We are pleased to bring you a chance to see the Minesing Wetlands in all its fall glory.
